Miles & Avery
This is Miles and his cousin Avery. Once we put Avery in the pen, Miles attacked him. This was the second time, after we all had dinner, so we thought we would record it. It is long but we think it is really funny how Avery is so afraid of Miles and his face gets all red. Enjoy.

Farewell My Brother...1910-2008
You have been the prophet for almost half of my life. It will be strange to not see your face or better to hear your voice this coming General Conference. What a somber occasion that will be for me. You are such a cherished leader and I will miss you immensely. You have taught me many things in the 12 years of your stewardship. Your legacy will live on in those of us who have heeded your wise guidance and counsel.

Its all fun & games until someone....
The kids love to play with daddy and USUALLY they are good at sharing and playing nice
until someone gets a little pushy
and then " it's on". (sometimes Miles takes it a Little bit over the edge..... but when he does.... man it's fun to watch. )
Here, dad quickly explains all the rules..." No kicking, No bitting, No name calling and PLEASE No bloodletting. your mother HATES it when you bleed all over the place."
Miles wastes no time and quickly climbs to the top of the cage, and with surprising grace......
Leaps into the air....
Leading with his DEADLY elbows, he lands right in the middle of JorgiNeedless to say she is done.
After that Awesome display of his wicked skills, Miles is rocked back to hear that another challenge has been issuedSo, again, Up he climbs.....
and again gracefully he takes flight
this time, pulling off an amazing flip before.........landing in the midst of his foe......
after a quick bout of tickling, he leans down in the face of his victim and screams "HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW???"
Seeing that things have suddenly gotten out of control, the boy is pulled off before any more harm can be done. "oh boy aren't we having fun now???"

WHY!?!
As most of you know, I coach volleyball. I love it! I am passionate about it. Besides my family, and the gospel, nothing else gives me greater joy than to help young girls understand how to play the game, mentally as well as physically.
So, when I hear that one of the parents of one of the girls that I coach, wants to get the WHOLE coaching staff FIRED; It drives me absolutly crazy. Just because we (as well as 20some other schools in the valley) can't procure that coveted "State Volleyball Championship Title"! How moronic and ludicrous is it to think that changing the staff right before this parents daughter's SENIOR year, will make a difference in the outcome of the next coming year. They may get a different coaching style, sure, but it is ultimately up to the girls to play the way they have been taught. The coaches can only do so much, determination and heart has to come from each individual player, that is something that cannot be coached, much to the disgruntlement of this parent, we have been unable to TEACH bravery and conviction on the volleyball court. Well, I am sorry, seems to me that some of that can be taught at home too.
It just blows my mind when parents try to live viacariously through their kids.
Sorry for the ranting, just had to let it out, in case I don't have a coaching job this fall:-) Thanks for the support everyone, especially those who appreciate what I do for their kids, love you!

How could I forget this one?
One of my biggest goals is to REALLY study the gospel. I have countless books on history and views about the church, now I think that I really want to read them. I have had this yearning for more knowledge, I know, crazy. It is unquenchable to me, I feel it, so I know that I must act on it. Thanks for reading:-)

Goals
Resolutions to me, sounds like this big long word that means there's a lot of stuff involved. Making GOALS sounds better to me, and some that I have been thinking about this year are:
That I want to find a place for everything in my house. If it doesn't fit in my house it will surely fit in the shed out in the backyard, because my garage is seriously lacking in many departments for it to qualify as a garage at all. Those that have been inside my house know that it is rather homey. OK, it's a really small house for the 5 of us that are living here. We are making the best of it and my goal is to find a place for the things we use most and put the rest in the shed until it will be used.
I would also like to do more baking. Baking as in making sure dinner is ready and made from my house and not McDonald's or lately Little Cesear's.
With the above, that involves being somewhat organized, which I am working on continualy.
Normally I wouldn't say this but considering I had a baby about 11 months ago, I need to shed that extra weight. I won't put a number amount on what I want to lose, I will know when I am done, when a certain pair of pants fit me again.
I want to have more time to do the things I really enjoy. Sewing, scrapbooking, reading, etc. I have many ideas in my head that just sit there because, I don't have the time to do them. 3 kids, 4 if you count the husband, tend to occupy alot of my available time.
I want, also, to have more patience with my kids. I know they don't listen when you tell them the first time, but I really don't like having to repeat it 3 or 4 times. The corner will be getting more use this next year.
I want like to keep the floor clean so that Miles can crawl around and I won't have to worry what he has found and put into his mouth.
Well that is all that comes to mind right now. I hope everyone has a fantastic year ahead of them.
